Because we love children and desire to protect them, Covenant Kids requires all staff members and volunteers to complete these six steps before ministry work with children begins.


1. Complete the CK Volunteer Application form

Designed for us to get to know you better.

2. Complete a background check through Checkr which included a Sex Offender Screening

Required for all volunteers 18 and older who work around minors.

3. Personal Reference Checks

Covenant Kids staff may reach out to people you have listed that can vouch for your character and integrity.

4. Read and sign the Covenant Leadership Honor Code

All volunteers of Covenant Church are asked to sign the honor codde. This document is designed to hold all leaders accountable to living a lifestyle that glorifies God and honors a Christ-centered faith.

5. Read and sign the Covenant Social Media Guidelines

All Volunteers of Covenant Church are asked to sign these guidelines. This document is designed to help leadership appropriately reflect the love of Christ to the world.

6. Complete Covenant Kids Volunteer Training

Required for adult volunteers serving in a classroom with children.

Student Volunteers (younger than 16 years old) will be approved and trained by a CK staff member. They will be asked to sign a Student Colunteer Honor Codeand follow the guidelines presented to them.



Individuals not allowed to work with/around minors at Covenant include:

  • Those convicted at any time of any crime of child abuse or molestation and/or any other violent crime against another person or animal.
  • Those convicted of any crime involving alcohol or drugs within the past 5 years.
  • Those convicted of felonies of any kind within the past 5 years.
  • Those who refuse to complete a background check or adhere to the guidelines we have in place for Covenant Kids.
